This archive contains a pile of writings collected from various places across the Internet.
Grinnoire aims to be the clearinghouse for all extant and newly-forming ideas about all things
Choronzonic that we can possibly collect, so if you know of something that ought to be here and isn't, give
the archivist a nudge.
EXPANDING PAST WORD INTO SOUND AND IMAGE!
All visual material once found here is in the process of being shunted to the new Grinnoire sector for Image
- DIORAMA. A third sector is also opening, for Sound - AURICAL, which contains music files from bands and projects OTHER THAN US
who've done songs about Choronzon. (It's amazing to find that there are so many of them.)
Creating topical archives involves lots of possible Issues with the Creators of such Materials. The archivist
- in addition to writing a great deal of original material - gathers from many net sources, including places
like random users of eMule and suchlike - and thus, recognises that a lot of the material here may or may not
be copyrighted.
While every effort has been made to credit and link the material not written by members of the
Choronzon project, and to request
permission for inclusion from the authors, it's possible that you just weren't around to be found. If
you see something here that is yours, and don't like that it's here, please send an email to the archivist and she will take it down in a New York nanosecond.
(We're quite accommodating...really.)
If you are cool with it being here but have changed your @ddress or URL, and would like someone to update
your links, send your current link info to said archivist linked above, who will mutter some
esoteric-sounding glossolalias, clap hands three times, thricely, and get Choronzon to take care of it.
Unless he's busy doing something more important, which is entirely likely - in which case the archivist will
end up doing it.
WANT OPPOSITION? YOU GOT IT!
THE AKOLASIA CHAMBER has now opened its doors. In that scary room
below, there's some more writings about Choronzon, from a decidedly-less-adorational perspective...just for
balance.

ANNUNCIATION
By D.M. Thraam.
A passionate statement of intent...a rant...a roll call of the
xenoverse...and an adoration. It also makes a fairly good Introduction to the rest of this... |

METATHEISM
By D.M. Thraam.
A primer on the "critters" in the mythopoeia that Choronzon's Annunciator
operates in: a Field Guide to the Xenodimensionals. |

YET ANOTHER CREATION MYTH
By D.M. Thraam
How the Meta-Gods of Order and Disorder - CON and DE - Came to Be In Their
Configuration. A Metatheist lemniscate-twist on the notion of creation mythos. |

THE ZEN OF
CHORONZON
by D.M. Thraam
What It's About When You Strip Out The Mythos...Practical ways to view
all this craziness. |

HOTCH-POTCH
By D.M. Thraam
Random Musings of the Choronzonic Annunciator, on what it is to be
Indwelt by a Weird, Mostly-Feared Xenodimensional. |

WHAT THE HELL ARE TRANSVERSION AGENTS? by D.M.
Thraam
Just about any xenodimensional thought-manipulation-capable entity,
whether commonly labeled god, demigod, devil, angel, or whatever else, is, in the mythopoeia of the
metatheistic, just one among squazillions of Transversion Agents. (Choronzon, of course, is no
exception.) So, what are these things, and what do they do? By D.M. Thraam. |

CHILD'S PLAY
by Joe Cosby
"Fun is Choronzon's Middle Name" An old Usenet post. Silly. |

YECHIDAH
by Bill Heidrich
A thick but intriguing essay about Choronzon vis-a-vis the Holy Guardian
Angel...that actually did NOT end up "downstairs" filed with the rest of the Akolasia Chamber's contents (all the "anti-333" screeds are stacked up in a
mouldering pile down there) - even though it's from an OTO newsletter. (Will wonders ever cease?) As
just about any other essay from that source probably would be, this one's very esoteric...you'll need a
handle on Qabala to really grok this - and I'll admit I'm pretty sketchy on all that since I only last year
started reading ANY OCCULT TEXTS AT ALL other than stuff about my "chosen field" (Choronzon, and limited
material on Chaos
magick) owing to a vow I took at age 23 to not read that sort of thing until I was 40, because I wanted all
my gnosis to be
based on my own experience, and not be unduly influenced by stuff written 100 years before my time halfway
'round the globe. It sounds deliberately ignorant, but I'll
have to admit, I'm REALLY glad I did it this way. The downside: I often can't tell one sephiroth from
another.) |

A GNOSTIC TRAIL
by Colin Low
Fascinating treatise tying together Choronzon, John Dee, H.P. Lovecraft,
Crowley, and the Nag Hammadi Gnostic textual fragments. Draws some mindblowing speculations and heavy
conclusions as to the nature - and veiled purpose - of the big C. |

VISITATION 333
by D.M. Thraam
When Choronzon Becomes Incubus. Perverse verse about...what else? the
flabbergastingly intense
joy of making it with the Lord of Hallucinations. (OBLIGATORY WARNING: Contains unfettered descriptions of
daemoniac
sexual rites in extradimensional zones. Probably work-safe, though, since your boss likely won't
know what the Hell it's actually describing, since it isn't full of references to body parts and "dirty"
words.) |

LIBER NICHT
Chaos Magic(k) and the Left-Hand Path
.pdf book By 888/ChaosZexperiment
The chapter called A Beer With Choronzon
expresses the notion that the entity can be your friend, which is enough to get it the gold triple-triad
hereabouts. There
is, beyond that, some further good stuff here, ideas that modernise magery and which go beyond
the usual
occult drivel. The author does come off as a mite too obsessed with physical
appearance, with "dressing up" and impressing others; this subject comes up again and
again in this book. Still interesting as it contains a different version of modernised occultism
with some congruent ideas to the ones espoused here, some ideas which are more "perpendicular" to them; best
thing to do is compare notes - and above all, think for yourself...based on your own experiences.

THE INFERNO OF CHORONZON
by Dave Lee
Though quite dark and having Satanic leanings, this Choronzonic
ritual invokes the "evils" of the world, with the purpose of turning the crystal of your mind's eye around so
you're viewing things through a differently-shaped facet and different lens of focus, allowing you to gain
new perspectives on them. This is a helpful thing - whether you see yourself as one aligned with, or against
such forces...or even if you see yourself as unaligned, neutral - for they are things that are with us and
likely shall always be in our lifetimes. Interesting for its technomancy aspects, as well as positive view
of Choronzon.
|

|
THE HEPTANGLE
(Author Unknown)
Want some eclecticism in your occultural effectuation? This ritual
throws together a lot of diverse elements: Crowley/Golden Dawn-influenced magick, geometromancy, pantheism,
chaos magery, and various Enochian symbolisms - and of course, the Choronzonic current. Something for
everyone!

CHORONZON AND EXISTENTIAL
AGONY
by V.H. Maroney
Some comments about alternate views of Choronzon and contemplation
of why there are appearing "those who adore" this once-reviled entity. Nifty. From an old Usenet post.
|

|
THE ADUMBRATION OF THE 23rd
GATEWAY by Frater PVN
Some notes on ritual work involving Choronzon and also some other
xenodimensionals including Lovecraftian mythos entities. Fairly esoteric stuff here: it probably will make
no sense to anyone not steeped in various occult systems - and may prove difficult for some who ARE. To grok
more fully take the author's advice at the start. (Note: An @ddress for Frater PVN has proven elusive; you
know the drill...if this is your work and you don't want it here, or want it linked to something, etc.,
please contact the archivist who will see to your
wishes.)

LEXICON VOCABULINGUA
by D.M. Thraam
Confused by one of the
Annunciator's neologisms? Wracked by the Annunciator's wordy rantings from the xenosphere? Here's a
steadily-building, chaotically-unalphabetised list of commonly-used words and phrases related to the uncommon
realms of Choronzonica. |

THE SEARCH FOR CHORONZON
Emma Tenebrae
A delightful poem that is an enchantingly mysterious and positive
rendition of our friend.
|

FRATER NIGRIS and "I AM I"
by Nagasiva
Frater Nigris, aka
Nagasiva, who lives with his wife near Santa Cruz and creates magickal jewelry (I want him to make me a
one-of-a-kind you-know-what, but I think he's out doing festivals right now) has indeed been most
appreciative of Choronzon...and here, explains the particular way he understands and identifies with our
entity (whom he appears to view primarily in its female aspect.)
|

THE MASS OF CHORONZON
by Peter J. Carroll
The pioneer of Chaos Magick as practiced by the multitudes, Peter J.
Carroll has written works that have not only made fundamental breaks with obsolete magick but also served as
a strong foundation upon which others have built. This rite is designed to create a hypertrophic egoic
egregore of oneself - from which one might gain a means to study one's strengths and flaws, and also, to make
the crucial step of letting go of attachment to same while still maintaining the integrity of oneself.
|

THE ABYSS
by Grant Morrison
A short text on Choronzon in which it's seen more as a mental construct
or symbol, more than as an "entity"; it's interestingly neutral (few texts on Choronzon are - it seems this
is one critter one usually either loves or hates) and as such, it's more enlightened than the usual
Thelema-by-the-book routine assessment. (D.M. Thraam follows it up with a commentary.)
|

WAR IN HEAVEN
by D.M. Thraam
A theodicic farce: and
also, a comic take on the backstory regarding what Transversion Agents are (most xenodimensionals are
Transversion Agents, including Choronzon) - it is basically a satirical alternate explanation for certain
Biblical idiocies.

choronZon
by alien8
Another dark but nifty Choronzon poem. Not certain where this was found;
author is currently sought for proper credit/linkage/etc. so if you are "alien8" and claim these words as
yours, do let us know.
